Just finished watching the movie about a hour ago, it was amazing feel like i need to watch it again. Do everyone a favor and stop showing this film immediately. This really frightened me. Blair Witch did too. I think they play on your mind more. And are more realistic. What makes this scene even more bizarre is how the Mermaid doesn't even try to tug at Winslow or anything of the sort. She just laughs and screams at him as he runs away. Still, makes me wonder: Why didn't Winslow just go for it? It's not like the Mermaid could do anything about it cause she's helpless on land.

The Lighthouse Free. The Lighthouse Free streaming. This was my face expression the entire movie😟. Such a nice guy, and extraordinary actor. He's been on fire lately. Can't wait to see The Lighthouse, and The French Dispatch. Ive never been more excited for a movie in my life. Remember the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes? Throngs of parade onlookers who praised the emperor's (nonexistent) new clothes? There are masses of reviews raving about this film. Let me tell it like the little boy who was the only one to point out that the Emperor was naked. This film is boring, incomprehensible, depressing and without plot. Yes there's some good acting and cinematography, but sadly that is not enough to rescue the film. I was overjoyed when both characters were finally dead because it heralded the end of the film and our escape from the theatre.
I didnt really care about this scene because the characters were a-holes and the story wasnt that engaging. Nice visuals, sound design and good acting - but its not enough for me. Better than most but no masterpiece in my book. Please, I'm begging you, don't shoot films in 1.19:1 aspect ratio. What a waste of a good story. The viewer can't help but be angry with knowing that cramped screen was deliberate. Such a waste.

Saw this movie. Interesting premise, but not entirely original: social outcasts are given a devil's bargain to undertake a dangerous mission (proscribed by a state entity with control over people's lives) with unknown outcomes in return eedom/clemency/escape, etc. This movie is going to be frustrating to people who prefer linear story lines that allow the viewer to make clean linkages between scenes, characters, motivations behind actions, and a neat ending that ties up all the loose ends. Much like Under The Skin, Arrival, The Fountain, and 2001 A Space Odyssey, High Life is going to require the viewer to infer the central plot from disjointed flash backs along the story line arc, and be comfortable with ambiguity intended to allow each viewer to draw their own conclusions. The pace is slow and dwells frequently on conflicts from which I could only assume the director's motive was to build tension in the viewer to reflect what grows within each character over time (years) as they come to grips with their reality. and the likely outcome of their mission. Even though the story takes place on an interstellar ship on its way to a black hole many light years away from Earth, this is a drama centered on how individuals cope with circumstances beyond their control and loneliness. Only Robert Pattisions character has something in his life, on that ship, to give him love and hope.

At that point I started laughing not only because it wasnt believable but also to mask my anxiety from all of the yelling and fake bs that goes on up until then. You know a horror movie is good when the people next to me in the theater start crying. I just rewatched this last night, and there is a very interesting detail. When the father is inspecting his corn, look and you can clearly see that the corn has ergot fungus. Ergot is a hallucinogen.

Every movie I paid for by the trailer itself has been everything and then some. well until now that is. Tricked me big time. Don't waste your money's. was not worth it. If you can watch this movie for free then this will be a good movie to fall asleep to, other than that? naa. I do like the soundtrack at the end of the movie though, lmao.
